Function description

2.1. Mission

Drive the sanitation program to comply with BRC, IFS standard, auto control and legal food safety requirements. Evaluate and improve the performance and service of the sanitation crew (intern and extern) and of the cleaning chemicals supplier.

Support the implementation of the food safety and HACCP agenda within the plant.

Investigate foreign object consumer complaints, search for root cause and set up action plan.

Support the pest control program.

2.2. Key Accountabilities

  • Take the lead in the sanitation program, develop cleaning procedures and instructions for all lines and plant infrastructure.

  • Set up the planning for week and weekend cleaning in coordination with production and technical services .

  • Execute inspections after cleaning, technical interventions and refurbishment of factory.

  • Develop programs to evaluate and improve the performance and service of the sanitation company and of the cleaning chemicals supplier. Develop action plans for improvement.

  • Support and advise production on cleaning performed during production changes.

  • Be the point of contact for chemical supplier, cleaning company and cleaning utensil suppliers.

  • Work closely together with production department to achieve water, gas, waste & electricity KPI’s.

    • Support the food safety agenda, BRC/ IFS standard and auto control within the plant.
    • Perform HACCP & hygiene checklists.
  • Analyse foreign object consumer complaints.

  • Support the pest control program, follow-up and keep close contacts with external pest control company.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE / EXP.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Food, Bio or chemistry) of equal by experience

  • French – Dutch – English

  • Flexible attitude, including flexible working schedule: Saturday work (free on Wednesday)

  • Have the right attitude towards hygiene and food safety, be the role model

  • Motivate teams, be result driven, have constructive but critical attitude

  • Analytical thinking skills

  • Good PC-skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
